WOW = WIPs On Wednesdays

I'm having a book day today. It's stinking hot down my way and I'm cooped up inside with the aircon on, hoping my newly planted herbs survive the extreme heat. It's days like today that I like to take a moment to just take it easy. This gorgeous book arrived yesterday and I've been enjoying every page. I love Yoko Saito's work, she is a hugely talented woman.
This arrived in a package (it's not THE package) whilst I was waiting on another one. Although it's not what I was eagerly waiting for, it's been a welcome distraction.

At some point today, my Craftsy fabric is due and I'll be able to make a start on my Hold Onto Your Heart design. I can't wait!

Ooh, I LOVE her quilts! Thank you for letting me know about the book, Esther. I've added it to my Amazon wish list! Hope your fabric package arrives today and that your air conditioning keeps going strong! I've been shivering every time I step outside here in North Carolina, USA, and I'm grateful for my furnace, my fireplace, and my thick, fuzzy socks!
ReplyDeleteIsn't she talented? Such an inspiration. I got her book from the Fat Quarter Shop which from memory was cheaper than Amazon, so check that out! I am meanwhile dreaming of snow! ha, I'm boiling, actually melting away right now. But I can't complain, my fabric delivery just arrived!!!
DeleteEsther, I was worrying about you a little bit because it's not like you to have missed posting your WOW post on Wednesday -- but now that I know you've received that long-awaited fabric package I figure you are cutting and prepping and stitching up a storm. :-)
DeleteYou're so kind Rebecca Grace, I always love hearing from you. I was offline because my street had it's cables cut, they're installing a new internet system and failing spectacularly. We also lost our home phone line (which I hardly use anyway) but I really missed the internet!
