WOW: Fabric Fun

WOW = WIPs On Wednesdays
I've been having some fabric fun - sorting through my stashed beige 'pastry' shades and also indulging in a spot of chocolate shopping - the fabric kind of course. I picked up some brown mixers that I think will come in handy for the blocks ahead as I have so few browns in my stash. I have no idea why? These new ones fill in the gaps for now. I'll be picking and choosing, ummming and ahhhing on a block - by- block basis. How gorgeous is this print below? It looks like mousse at the top and choc squares below....mmmmm!
My new Quilt Along Sweet 2016 launches this week and I'm really excited about it. Today I'm working on the first block so I can show it off - but I've been interrupted and have things to do - you know how it is! Luckily it's completely do-able and a lot of fun so I hope to have it finished later this afternoon. I'll show you more soon. If you haven't signed up already, do it now !

What's Your WOW?

  1. Nope. Not chocolate. Alligator. With garlic and maybe a little ginger.

    1. Oh my goodness! Someone said snakeskin over on FB and now I can't even look at it! Looks like I'll be shopping for new chocolates...

  2. love all your brown fabrics, nice designs and colors.

  3. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...if you think it looks like chocolate, then it does! The fabric has a nice texture, and depending on how you use it in your block it could look like Hershey's chocolate with its small squares. And the smaller squares at the top of the fabric could look like the bubbles in chocolate mousse...maybe...if you squint... Anyway, I love your selection of browns. With applique, fabrics definitely read differently when cut up small and I'm sure you'll find a good use for it in your delicious quilt!

  4. That's a great, a varied selection of browns, Esther. I'm low on browns, too, and have added a few. Brown is such a comforting color -- to me, at least.

    Thanks for hosting WOW.
