WOW: Oma's Blues WOW

 WOW=WIPs On Wednesdays

Oma's Blues is coming together, I'll have my entire top done this week. Talk about a WOW! I'm really keen to get this quilt finished as I knew that if I didn't get it done now... I wouldn't find any time later this year or in 2016. It's so satisfying to be going back and forth to my ironing board as I stitch down my borders...
I'm really looking forward to showing you my entire top and of course, to having another quilt DONE! Well, almost done. I'm still deciding whether I will quilt this quilt or keep it as a quilt top only (easier to transport and show at workshops). I had thought very seriously about making tops only, but I think that with Oma, it needs to go up on my walls and give my other quilts a rest.

What's Your WOW?

    1. This is beautiful, do you baste by tacking ? What happened to your B820? Did Bernina replace it?
      I have a new B780. And wish I had tried it out more as complicated but strong.
      Still getting used to it? Thanks

  20. Oh, you can't make tops only! Esther, if you leave a pile of quilt tops behind when you head off to quilt with the angels, what will happen to all of your hard work? What if someone gets hold of them and does something AWFUL to them, like use them to practice allover pantographs on their new longarm machine that they don't know how to use? Please finish your masterpieces so that future generations can enjoy them.

    1. You're so right Rebecca Grace, in fact I have seen 'quilts' used as dog bedding by those who didn't know better, so any fate could befall them!

  21. Can you show how you did the diamond/circle band? I'm confused on this part.
