UFO Update

My girls still arent showing any interest in seeing this quilt finished....and I dont need any encouragement to abandon it again!
I still dont know what I was thinking when I cut it up and packed it away - except that I was enjoying a period of brights. The problem is that as soon as I start a project I'm thinking of another one.....It did look like this UFO (still unnamed I'm afraid) would stay on the wall a few more weeks yet....but we had an unexpected cold snap during the last few nights and were all bemoaning the lack of quilts available to cosy up with...and as it's expected to be hot again mid week I'm furiously working to finish it before I change my mind. Again.

  1. This is so unlike the sort of things you are doing now, I can see how it got stored away unfinished.....
I have two or three like this, do I put the effort into something which isn't what I do now, or do I let it languish again...?

  5. Hi there.

This is a first visit to your blog after your post to SCQuilters.
I think this is a lovely looking quilt & so different from others I have seen. For what its worth I think its important to pull out those UFO's at times & finish them. Its an all round exercise for the mind, the thought processes & your inner sense of having completed something that was left sitting. Especially as you say its not the kind of quilt you would do now.

  7. I love the setting on this quilt, but how did (or are you going to) manage the little squares. I cannot figure out what you have done, except it looks like a couple may be pinned on. Are you going to applique them down or do you have a secert way to attach then?
