Most of my wall quilts are never washed so I don't have to worry about this when selecting fabrics. But when making baby quilts and teaching others to quilt, I always point out that the glitter, metallic or sheen prints always flake or fade away. It's annoying, isn't it?Esther Aliuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04760874340919976083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8113183995005359036.post-15268154121060744992015-06-16T12:04:12.737+10:002015-06-16T12:04:12.737+10:00I'll be watching your progress. Do you have trouble with the metallic accents wearing off of the metallic fabrics, Esther? I used some prints that had metallic on them in a quilt for my son and the metallic has all faded away to brown after a few years, but that was a bed quilt that has been through the wash a few times.Rebecca Gracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14801489818836195754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8113183995005359036.post-55076143535224021832015-06-15T18:38:30.918+10:002015-06-15T18:38:30.918+10:00Thanks Glenda, sometimes I wonder what I'm thi...Thanks Glenda, sometimes I wonder what I'm thinking with all these patterns in differing stages of progress!
